On Monday we took notes on labor unions which is discussed in chapter 6, section 3, beginning on page 244. Your notes should include four to six problems that workers faced, the major unions and their leaders and goals, major strikes, and how management and the government pressured unions. Tuesday, 1/12 Reviewer: H. Byrne, 2 Great comment and description of the purpose of the song! Don't forget that we had to write down literary pieces of information, regarding the laborer in the song, that we noticed both before and after we got to read the lyrics. This information should be written in the top margin in your notebook, above the notes on labor unions. Also, make sure to write this phrase in your notebook: "Last hired, first fired." Important dates: History Fair rules quiz on Thursday, 1/14 and History Fair rough draft due on Friday 1/15.
