Monday, 2/1 L. Pan, 2 Progressive Era Class Activities: Finished up History Fair presentations and after presentations we worked on part 2 of the vocabulary on "Progressive Era". Homework: Finish the remainder vocabulary words that were not completed in class. Reminder: Part 1 & Part 2 vocabulary words are due on Thursday (Part 1 vocabulary will only be given credit if part 2 is finished and completed) and there will be a vocabulary quiz on part 2 this Thursday.
Tuesday, 2/2 L.Pan, 2 Farmers' Alliances Pick-ups: Half sheet of paper that is placed on the bottom half of venn-diagram notes. Class Activities: Took notes about problems that farmers faced. Homework: Finish part 1 & 2 vocabulary assignments Reminder: Part 1 & Part 2 vocabulary words are due on Thursday (Part 1 vocabulary will only be given credit if part 2 is finished and completed) and there will be a vocabulary quiz on part 2 this Thursday.
Wednesday, 2/3 L. Wilburn, 2 Populists Pick-Ups:Document excerpts on silverites Vs. Gold Bug views & received progress reports. Class Activities: Lecture notes on the populists' party and their reforms. Reminder: Vocab list #4 is due tomorrow 2/4 as well as the vocab quiz, if you got below a 60% on part 1 then you can turn it in as well in addition to the completed part 2 list for partial credit back.
Thursday, 2/4 L. Wilburn, 2 Political Allegories Pick-ups: After test, grab reading on the wizard of Oz, as well as a corresponding film sheet. Class Activities: Vocab List #4 part 2 due. Vocab List #4 Part 2 test. Class discussion about Wizard of Oz and the Populists Movement.
Friday, 2/5 K. Jones, 2 Progressive Era Pick-ups: There were two pick ups. One was a reading on the Temperance Movement and the other had questions pertaining to the article. Class Activities: We continued to watch The Wizard of Oz and fill out responses that described what characters represented elements of the Populist Movement.Then we started Progressive Era notes and created a timeline. We also read the Temperance Movement article and began answering the questions.
Sunday, 2/7 K. Jones, 2 Upcoming Week There will most likely be a test this week on the Progressive Era, so keep setting up your notebook. This week will also be a spirit week for the dance on Friday. We will also continue to read and answer questions about the Temperance Movement.
