Monday, 5/16 L. Ma, 2 Video: "Freedom Summer" When entering the class, we picked up the video questions for the video we would be watching during class. Before that though, we filled out the 2 boxes in our "Civil Rights Booklet" of cases, Plessy vs. Ferguson and Brown vs. Board of Education. We then watched "Freedom Summer" while taking notes. Reminders: The handouts (ex: video notes, class worksheets) we have done over the past week will all be stapled and collected on Friday! EOC tomorrow in E-Lab @ 7:30 am!! Make sure you study!

Tuesday, 5/17 L. Ma, 2 HUSH EOC We were to report to the E-Lab at 7:30 am for our EOC for the first two periods. Reminders: Make sure handouts are completed and finished!
Wednesday, 5/18 L. Ma, 2 Grade Discussion and Feature Film Today when we walked into class we picked up a blue EOC final exam exemption form for the class. This needs to be signed and EXTRA CREDIT +5 points if brought back tomorrow!! We then discussed about the handouts that are to be due Friday. The handouts written on the board that were to be stapled and collected on Friday are: Red Scare, Best Years, Elvis, Freedom Summer, Civil Rights Booklet, and stick figure organizer we received today as well. Ms. McCarron gave us another sheet (stick figure organizer) to take notes on the film we watched today called "Good Night and Good Luck". Reminders: Make sure you have all the handouts finished by Friday. -Next week we will watch a movie/film and will be given an opportunity of an extra credit essay. Printed FINAL grades will also be given on Monday by Ms. McCarron.
Wednesday 5/18 Reviewer: S. Robertson Bring Exemption form by Thursday for an extra +5 points that will be added to the 10 points that the assignment is already worth. Great detail and you touched on everything! Don't forget to pay close attention to films!
Thursday, 5/19 S. Liem, 2 Today we continued the film "Good Night and Good Luck" but we did not finish it. The movie will be finished tomorrow (Friday)along with the opposing viewpoints worksheet that needs to be completed by the end of the movie. The packet of the multiple worksheets and video questions will be turned in at the beginning of class tomorrow (Friday). There is an extra credit opportunity next week consisting of a movie and an essay.
Friday, 5/20 S. Liem, 2 Today we had a substitute and we completed the movie "Good Night and Good Luck". At the beginning of class, we turned in the packet of the multiple worksheets and video questions. There is an extra credit opportunity next week consisting of a movie and an essay.
Sunday, 5/22 S. Liem, 2 Next week will consist of your final exams. Monday and Tuesday are full days with normal schedules. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be half days with 2 exams each day. Monday: NORMAL Tuesday: NORMAL Wednesday: 5th and 6th period exams Thursday: 3rd and 4th period exams Friday: 1st and 2nd period exams If you took the EOC and had a parent/guardian sign your exemption form, you are exempted from the exam and do not have to go to class on the day in which your HUSH class period is assigned. Grades are finalized as of now. If there is a problem you would like to discuss with Ms. McCarron regarding your grade, you must see her in person. If the problematic grade is blogging/reviewing, email the link to Ms. McCarron. There is an extra credit opportunity this week consisting of a movie and an essay.
