Monday, 11/2 S. Liem, 2 Civil War Ch. 4, Sec. 2, pg. 168+ Ch. 4, Sec. 3, pg. 175+ We finished both sections of the illustrated notes on the Civil War. They are to be placed on facing pages. Fold them so they fit on the page and glue them horizontally in your notebook. A Primary or Secondary source is due on Thursday, 11/5 (make sure they are on the appropriate colored paper).

Wednesday, 11/4 K. Jones, 2 The Civil War Classwork: We picked up the Gettysburg Address half sheet and took our notebooks out. We discussed the weekly history fair assignment and then read over the Gettysburg Address. We continued our Civil War lecture with discussing the significance of the Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address. Homework: A secondary or primary source is due to the box tomorrow morning and can be either print or from the web. Reminders: The Strozer Library will be open to Lincoln students for history fair research on November 7 from 10 to noon, but come at 9:45.

Also we should also review the "Classifying 'Sources'" just in case there is a pop quiz on primary, secondary, and tertiary sources.
