Monday, 11/30 Carah Gedeon, 2 Discussing New Unit Content Today in class, Ms. McCarron discussed the wealthiest people that have ever lived and what they accomplished to become wealthy. We discussed people such as Rockefeller, who was the founder of a famous oil company called, Standard Oil Company. We also discussed Carnegie who was the founder of a well known steel company, Carnegie Steel Company. After we discussed these people and many more, we finished the video from Friday, called The Story of Us: Episode Cities. We weren't assigned to pick up anything when we walked in and no homework was assigned for tonight but the mural is due Thursday, 12/3, for extra credit.
Tuesday, 12/1 Carah Gedeon, 2 Notebook Setup Today in class, we set up our notebooks for the new unit 4, which is called the Age of Transformation. We discussed what will be covered in this unit, such as rural areas and urban areas. We then went over noodletools.com and what's due tomorrow. We were told if we hadn't finished all 8 sources, to do it by tonight at 11:59 am. Our mural is due Thursday, 12/3, for extra credit.

Good job fixing the comment and including that we did have homework, which was to post 8 sources on Noodletools by Wednesday at 11:59 pm. and to share your project with Ms. McCarron. Remember the History Fair extra credit rough draft is due on Thursday if you would like to turn it in.
Wednesday, December 2, 2015 Gee, M. Today in class we took notes on the Captains of Industry (Robber Barons). Nothing was collected but our 8 sources were due the day before, before midnight. Nothing was distributed. Remember the mural rough draft is due tomorrow (Thursday 12/3) for extra credit!
Thursday, December 3, 2015 Gee, M. Today, we picked up a sheet titled "Was Andrew Carnegie a hero?" and took notes about what it means to be a hero and some characteristics of hero's. The rough draft for your mural was due for extra credit if you did it. Happy Thursday! Almost made it to Friday!!!

Tuesday, 12/1 Reviewer: Jones, K. Great post! Along with setting up our notebook we filled out our Notebook Reflections and Grade Sheet so that should be already glued into our notebooks. Remember to make your Noodletools project public and prepare to turn in your History Fair murals next Thursday.
Friday, 12/4 Crawford, Adam In class on Friday we continued to talk about the wealthiest people in America. Each person spoke about a characteristic and a person relating to it that they wrote in their notebook. We picked up a handout about Andrew Carnegie if you did not on Thursday. Mr Babbot was once again in class with us and contributed to the conversations. Don't forget to do your History Fair murals, due Thursday 12/10.
Sunday, 12/6 Reviewer: S. Liem In addition to the mural due Thursday, we also must print out our annotated sources (a minimum of 10), along with the Artist page. All 3 of these assignments are due Thursday 12/10 and are described with instructions in the lavender packet Ms. Mccarron handed out.

We actually did have homework - to do 8 sources (at least 5 primary and the rest secondary). It's due on Noodletools.com at 7:30 a.m.
